Comets: Your writing can come to life in the Imagination Machine Assembly!

Dear Families,

Our PTA is partnering with our Comets and the Imagination Machine again this year to encourage our young authors to imagine, create, and write! Our Comets are being asked to WRITE WRITE WRITE and submit their creative idea to your teacher by December 7th to have a chance to have their writing published in a professional production with real actors for all to see at our school assembly on January 16th. Has your Comet submitted writing yet? Don't miss this awesome opportunity to set a purpose to practice writing. Please click here to learn more and learn how to submit an entry.

More about Imagination Machine: The Imagination Machine's most popular assembly will literally bring your students' own stories to life! Nothing inspires your students to write like watching their own words spring onto the stage, fully-fleshed out in a complete production with professional actors, music, props and costumes! The selected authors also receive a Certificate of Writing Achievement at the end of the show. This is the show that will have your students begging to write stories!

Thank you to the Creekside PTA for providing this program for our school that supports the academic work we are doing with our students. Connecting writing and the arts is important and not easily done. Also, setting a purpose and creating a "reader" for our students' writing is engaging and rewarding for the students.
